What about my Driveway?
While you can no longer use town water to hose down your driveway, you can still keep them clean
- the old-fashioned way. A good outdoor broom will do the trick.
Using the pressure of the water to blast away dirt, dust and leaves is a waste of water. But a broom and dustpan will achieve the same result...not only saving water, but also protecting our creeks and rivers by not flushing dirt and other contaminants into the stormwater drains and out to our waterways.
If there are stubborn marks on the paved area, dip the broom into a bucket of hot soapy water and apply a little elbow grease. Then as it dries, sweep the dust and residue away.
